Here are two more cards created while attending Stampin' Up! OnStage In Raleigh, NC earlier this month. These designs were also from Julie Gleason's Stampin' Gala Class. It was one of the additional events put on by other Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators before or after the Stampin' Up! OnStage activities. At this event, we created cards with new stamp sets, and today I'm sharing two more of the six projects we made. These two use the Stampin' Up! Thankful Garden Bundle, an Online Exclusive released on March 4. These large flowers will take center stage on your cards or paper creations. The delicate line art flower image allows you to use your favorite coloring technique and pair it with the sentiment of your choice. We used reinkers and our water painters to create soft watercolor blooms for our cards. We used a color palette of Azure Afternoon, Basic White, Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive, and Basic Black. Additionally, we stamped the floral images on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and stamped the edge of our Basic White layer using the Elements of Text Stamp and Blueberry Bushel Ink stamped off once. The Mixed Labels Dies were used on Basic White to create sentiment labels for your choice of sentiments, and a Black and Very Vanilla 3/8" Checked Ribbon bow were added to the card front along with Rhinestones colored with a Black Sharpie Marker.
The card base on both cards is Azure Afternoon Cardstock. Then a layer of Basic Black Cardstock. The image layer is Basic White or Fluid 100 watercolor Paper for the card with the image stamped on the image layer. Both card front image area edges were stamped with Elements of Text Stamp Set using Blueberry Bushel Ink stamped off once. Create a splatter with your Waterpainter and Blueberry Bushel Reinker on a Clear Block. Add small scrap accent pieces of your Azure Afternoon Designer Series Paper to anchor the flower images.
The two large flowers from the Thankful Garden Stamp Set and Dies were the focal point of each card. The large blossom of smaller flowers was stamped on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and die cut using the Thankful Garden Dies included in the Bundle. For the other card, the two-blossom flower was stamped in the center of the Watercolor paper. Add a few drops of Blueberry Bushel Reinker onto a clear block, and use a Water Painter or Blender Pen to add color to the flowers. Add Old Olive Reinker to another clear block, and use it to paint the leaves on both flowers. Cut additional die cut leaves in Old Olive Cardstock using the Thankful Garden Dies and tuck the leaves behind the flowers and sentiments labels.
The sentiments from the stamp set or a sentiment of your choice is stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Basic White sentiment label die cut using Mixed Labels dies. A few finishing touches include creating a bow from Black & Very Vanilla 3/8" Large Check Ribbon, and using a Black Sharpie to color Rhinestone Basic Jewels Black to use as accent on the cards.
