Peaceful Pines
While I'm waiting for the new Stampin' Up! catalog to go live Sept 1, I've been playing with the holiday sets from the existing catalog.. Today, I've pulled out my Peaceful Pines and Perfect Pines Framelits Dies to create a couple of Christmas cards.
I really like the fact that a three of the stamps include sentiments in addition to three other sentiments and several cut ornaments, packages and stars. This is really one of the best value sets for Christmas card creation.

I think I'm going to need to order more gold and sliver embossing powder as I'm really liking the look of this card. I'm going to try it in Silver, next. The new 3/8" Sugarplum glitter ribbon (available Sept 1) is so easy to work with. I doubled the ribbon on the bow. There's a gold enamel star in the gold foil star on top the tree
The sugarplum layer is embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

Peaceful Pines on Brick
I had a bunch of left over embossed pieces from the card above and decide to make a quick card from the additional pieces. This card uses the lovely, luxurious 4/8" Satin Ribbon. It feels so nice and ties so easily (although I really miss our wide ribbons from years past). This card uses the Brick Wall embossing folder as well as the Peaceful Pins stamp sets and coordinating Perfect Pines thinlits die set.
A few sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment complete this card
