Just a Note . . .
Yesterday evening while I was working on my post my favorite talk radio program played several gospel songs. Really took me back to my childhood. I promptly downloaded some of the music into my playlist. The mood stayed with me today, and I selected one of the new background stamps, called Sheet Music, for my card today. I paired it with one of the new flower sets -- Flirty Flowers -- and the new thick Very Vanilla cardstock for my base card.
I used Soft Suede and Basic black matts to the sheet music image, and I sponged the edges of the Very Vanilla sheet music image with Soft Suede ink. I used the two of the solid images from the Flirty Flowers set and stamped them in Basic Black. The sentiment is also stamped in Basic Black on a circle shape from the Stitched Shapes Framelist set.
I know you are going to love the new thick Very Vanilla cardstock. Just like the Thick Whisper White cardstock, your cards will have a more luxurious feel and will display much better using the thicker Very Vanilla cardstock for your basecards. We've needed this cardstock for quite a while and I'm thrilled to see it included in this year's catalog.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteThat’s a nice card. Since I do not have beautiful flower stamps, I would like to have the drawing of a flower imported from a drawing bank printed on the Internet. When I import the image to superimpose it on a cardstok with background music sheet, there is a white square that comes with the image and I am unable to make it disappear, do you have any idea? Thank you, Joanne
Since I haven't done my card this way, I can only assume that you are importing flower images that have a white background. You need a transparent background. You could try importing the flower image into a graphics program that allows you to see if the image is created in layers and if you can change the white background layer to a transparent background. Alternately, if the image doesn't have layers, perhaps your graphics program allows you to outline the image and you can cut out the image to use. You might google how to do this on the web and it will give you some ideas for software that will remove image backgrounds. Hope this helps.
