Foil Snowflakes
Want to make a statement with your Christmas cards this year? Add these wonderful Foil Snowflakes to your Wish List from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog coming September 1. These foil Snowflakes are from the Year of Cheer Suite from the new catalog, but you'll find they compliment a wide range of your holiday projects.
I can't stop looking at this card! I added these Foil Snowflakes as one of the first products on my pre-order list from the upcoming Holiday catalog. These new metallic snowflakes include both gold and silver in a package of 24 total -- 12 of each.
I used two gold foil snowflakes on this card. One is glued flat and the second is accordian folded and cut in half with half underneith the top of the sentiment and the other half peeking out from underneath the bottom of the sentiment tag.
The background for this card was created with a base card of Basic Black, a layer of Gold foil and another layer of Basic Black. I also layered a dot pattern from the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate sheets on top.
The sentiment tag was punched using a new punch available in the Holiday catalog, called Everyday Label Punch. The Merry Christmas sentiment is embossed in Gold and the stamp is from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set.
The bow uses the gold edged 3/8" Metalic -Edge ribbon. Gold Metallic Enamel Shapes were added to the right and left edges of the sentiment tag. I added 3 glue dots to the top and 3 to the bottom edge of the sentiment tag and lightly pressed onto the folded gold snowflakes. You can see the texture the folded foil snowflake adds in the photos below.
