Oh, What Fun stamp set
There are many Holiday stamp sets and a Holiday Designer Series Paper in the annual Stampin' Up! catalog which means you can get a start on your Holiday cards now rather than waiting for the September 1 release of the Holiday catalog. Today I pulled together a fast Holiday card that will can be made quickly if you have a long holiday list to make cards for. I pulled out the Oh, What Fun stamp set and the Be Merry Designer Series Paper pack and put together a charming holiday card, ready for my holiday mailing list.
I also looked for a way to stretch my materials. If you first look at the card, you would think that that there are seven layers to this card. I actually thought about how to create the Garden Green circle without using any additional cardstock, and ended up cutting it from the center of the left over Garden Green scalloped frame. Instead of making that a solid layer, I used the large scallop square and the next size square thinlit to cut the scallop frame. Then from the remaining Garden Green square, I used two of the Layering Circles thinlits to cut a circle frame rather than cutting separate layers for all of these pieces.
I used a Garden Green basecard, a Whisper White layer, and then I cut the Be Merry Pattern into 3 sections. Then I layers a piece of Silver Metallic ribbon under the sentiment block.
I used the Laeyring Squares thinlits to create the Garden Green scalloped layer and then created a smaller square Whisper White image layer. Because the jingle bell image was so small -- the set is meant to create tags -- I used another stamps from the set to add the squiggles to the top and bottom of the jingle bell image. The image still appeared a bit small, so I used two of the Layering Circles thinlits to create a circle frame to accent the hingle bell image.
