Stampin' Up! Labels to Love
Today I was staring at some scraps on my work desk and decided to use one of them on my card. I had cut a scalloped square out of Basic Black and the remaining piece just looked interesting sitting there. I pulled out some of the new sets from the upcoming Holiday catalog and pulled together this quick Halloween card. My customers received their copies of the Holiday catalog this week end or today, so I know they are anxious to see more samples before they place orders September 1. This card shows one of the new punches and some of the Halloween papers from the Spooky nights Designer Series paper pack.
The basecard I used was Cajun Craze, which is also one of the colors in the Spooky Nights papers. Then I added a very thin layer of Very Vanilla, a layer of Basic Black and one of Pumpkin Pie. The frame is cut with one of the scalloped Layering Squares Thinlit. Its backed with a small piece of the Spooky Nights paper with pumpkins.
I used another piece of Very Vanilla to create the Labels to Love label at the bottom of the card. I first stamped it in Basic Black. Then I stamped it again in Pumpkin Pie. I cut the center sentiment out of Pumpkin Pie, popped it up on dimensionals and added it to the center of the label. The Basic Black Archival stamped label was punched using the new (September 1) Every Day Label Punch. The new catalog includes a number of labels that work with this punch that you are going to fall in love with. Many the new labels work with other thinlit dies as well so you'll have fun using them in different shapes to fit your packages, cards and Holiday projects.
Under the label is a black and Pumpkin Pie Bakers Twine. Its retired from last year's Holiday catalog, but it is still available right now at deep discount on the Stampin' Up! clearance rack, until sold out. Its a great accent to the Spooky Nights papers.
Here is the card paired with a cute gift using the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes, the Cat Punch and a sentiment from the Spooky Cat set.
I know this Cat Punch is going to be very popular. The cat punch and the coordinating Spooky Cat stamp set will be available as a bundle saving you 10% when purchased together. Don't delay ordering both the Cat punch and the Every Day Label Punch as soon as ordering begins September 1.
