Be Merry Designer Series Paper Cards
Need to make a few quick cards for Christmas? I love going to Stampin' Up! Onstage because of all of the creative card ideas I get from the display boards, the product sessions, and from swaps.
Today I created a collection of cards that use the Be Merry Designer Series Paper. Many of the ideas started with cards I saw on the display boards of swaps on display at OnStage.
The sentiments and die cuts from several different sets provide points of interest on each card. Each of these cards is relatively fast to cut and assemble, and would make a great stamp-a-stack.
In addition to the Be Merry Designer Series paper, the cards use a common set of cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and Whisperer White.
The nice thing about any of these basic designs is that you can dig through your stamp sets and substitute almost any of your stamps and dies to create variations based on what holiday stamps you have.
Here are today's cards. Take a look at the closeups below.
This first card, below, is a simple Cherry Cobbler basecard with one of the designs from the Be Merry Designer Series Papers. The sentiment is from the Watercolor Christmas stamp set. The small bow is from the Santa's Sleigh set and punched with the coordinating Santa's Sleigh Thinlits set. The Cherry Cobbler snowflake is from the Seasonal Layers Thinlit and includes a Rhinestone in the center.
This next card again uses a Cherry Cobbler basecard, then layers of Whisper White and Garden Green. The Garden Green layer is embossed with Holly Textured Impression Folder. The Whisper White trees are from the Card Front Builder Thinlit Dies. The sentiment is from the Snowflake Sentiment set, and the holly and berries are from the Trim Your Stocking Thinlit Dies. The berries of the holly are topped with Red Glimmer paper and the trees sparkle from a layer of Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
Two patterns from the Be Merry Designer Series Paper pack are used on the card below, along with a basecard of Garden Green, and layers of Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White. The sentiment is from Santa's Sleigh. The stars are punched from Red Glimmer Paper. The large star is die cut from the Wood Crate Framelits and the small stars are from the and Trim Your Stocking Thinlit Dies.
The card below uses a basecard of Garden Green with a z-fold front. Be Merry Designer Series Paper is used on the front z-fold. The deer on the Whisper White circle is from the Merry Mistletoe stamp set and is backed with a Gold Foil Snowflake. The sentiment is stamped inside the card and is concealed by the deer image.
The final card below is a special zipper card meant to hold a gift card or cash. The right edge is sealed and the Cherry Cobbler tab is meant to be pulled to open the card to reveal the gift card or cash. The dots are created using the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlit dies. The sentiment is from the Merry Little Labels set. The sentiment layer is framed with a Garden Green layer punched from the Everyday Label Punch. Like the cards above, this card uses the Be Merry Designer Series Paper.
