Bird Banter for Celebrations
These birds just want to party! Bird Banter set from Stampin' Up! includes such fun bird images. You just know they want to have fun. Today's card uses just two of the 5 bird images from this set. There are also several cute images, like the balloons, a party hat, a heart, and flowers and branches, which I'm sure I'll use on future card.
I a basecard of Soft Sky, then a thin layer of Whisper White, and then another layer of Soft Sky dry embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder. Then a smaller Whisper White layer was used for the image layer.
The Birds were stamped on Whisper White and colored with Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie Pink Pirouette, and Daffodil Delight Blends Markers. The birds were fussy cut and mounted on Dimensionals. The balloons, also from the Bird Banter set, were stamped in Smoky Slate, and then colored with the Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky and Daffodil Delight Blends.
Bird Banter
The die cut word, Happy, was cut out of both Pool Party and also out of Smoky Slate. Each cardstock was backed with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets before going through the Big Shot, and the Smoky Slate was offset slightly to form a drop shadow under the Pool Party die cut. This makes it so easy to adhere the two layers together and to add to the card without messy glue.
I used the Happy Birthday from Teeny Tiny Wishes and used a Smoky Slate marker to color only the word Birthday to stamp on the card. I completely missed that fact that the Bird Banter stamp set includes a number of sentiments, including a Happy Birthday sentiment, which I will use in the future, since I plan to make several more of this card to have on hand for upcoming birthdays.
