Tiny Butterflies creates a fun background
Today's card is an example of how to use small elements that come with your stamp sets that you might not consider to create an entire card. The tiny butterfly from Blossom Basket Bundle Sale-A-Bration Set creates a really cute background for a fast, simple card. Its a great way to get even more use out of a stamp set.
I used a Thick Whisper White basecard for this card. Then a layer of Bermuda Bay, a layer of Iridescent Glimmer paper from the Myths ad Magic Glimmer Paper pack, and a layer of Whisper White for the sentiment. The Bermuda Bay layer is hand ripped to create a less formal=looking card.
The word "Amazing" is a die cut from the Sale-A-Bration Celebrate You Thinlits Dies, one of the rare Sale-A-Bration gifts that will carry over to the 2018-2019 catalog, making it a great gift selection with a $100 order.
Using the tiny butterfly from the Blossoming Basket Bundle, I stamped it in Bermuda Bay, Powder Pink and Fresh Fig randomly on the top and bottom of the card. I also fussy cut one of the Bermuda Bay butterflies out of a scrap of Whisper White and added it to the tail of the Amazing die cut.
To complete the phrase begun on the front of the card, I added the die cut word You, also from the Celebrate You Thinlit Dies set, to the inside of the card. I fussy cut a Powder Pink butterfly to add to the die cut. I had a large number of the very tiny Pearl Basic Jewels from the retired configuration that I added to the bodies of the tiny butterflies. Stampin' Up! now offers the Pearl Jewels in a different configurations, but if you have any of the old configuration of these pearls, this is a great way to use up some of your old supplies.
