Beautiful Peacock Sale-A-Bration Set
Have you ever ordered a stamp set as soon as it appeared in the catalog and then let it sit for months, unused. That what I did with Beautiful Peacock. I had to have it as soon as I saw it demonstrated during last November's OnStage event in Salt Lake City. I thought it was just too complex to put a card together with this set. Oh, was I wrong!!! Today I finally pulled it out and pulled out a die I hadn't played with in a while and this card just seemed to fall together. And it was so much fun to use this set! I can't wait to use it again.
I used a basecard of Thick Whisper White, then a layer of a pattern from the 6" X 6" Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack, then a layer of Wild Wasabi, and then the image layer is Whisper White.
The body of the Peacock was stamped in Dapper Denim. The small flowers were stamped in Tangerine Tango, Dapper Denim and Crumb Cake. The sentiment, also from the Beautiful Peacock set, was stamped in Dapper Denim.
I also used the Flourish Thinlits, one of my all-time favorites, and die cut the flowers along the edge out of Wild Wasabi, and cut the design along the bottom out of Crumb Cake. A couple of tips for using this die: Stick the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the back of the cardstock before using this die. You will love how easy it is to adhere to your card. Also, if you have trouble getting a clean cut with this die, use your Precision base plate in place of one of your standard cutting pads, especially if your Big Shot is older and has seen a lot of use. The Calypso Coral 1/8" Sheer Ribbon was tied in a knot and looped around the image block.
I'm in love with this set! If you want the Beautiful Peacock set, it is a free Sale-A-Bration selection with a $50 order. But hurry. Your order must be received by March 31 to earn this free selection.
