Embellishment Kits make cards in a Flash
Today kind of got away from me. I looked up and realized the day was gone and I hadn't made a card for my blog. Looking to put together a card in a flash, I decided to beak open the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit to see if there was anything I could quickly use. I found this wonderful vellum, silver foil flower. I didn't even wait to look at all of the other items in the kit. This was so beautiful, I rushed it to my work table to put together a card to show it off.
I used a basecard of Thick Whisper White, then a layer of regular Whisper White. I used the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create the texture on the left.
I selected one of the words form the Celebrate You thinlits and cut the word "amazing" out of a piece of Silver Foil. I cut two more "amazing" words out of Whisper White to layer under the Silver Foil word and mounted them all together to give the word "amazing" some depth and help it stand off the card.
I glued the vellum, silver foil flower element to the card, and added a 3/8" Silver Metallic-Edged Ribbon to the edge of the card and then glued the word "amazing" over the front of the card. Done!
If you need a fast, yet elegant card, look through the elements in the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit from the Occasions catalog. You're sure to find elements to make your next card stand out.
