Share What You Love Stamp Set
One of the fun new stamp sets from the upcoming June catalog, is the Share What You Love set. Today, I'm showing a sneak peek of this new set and how a new stamper with limited supplies can use this set. In future posts I'll show stepped up cards using this set. This new stamp set will be offered to customers as an early release in May -- a month before the new catalog is released. Demonstrators are able to purchase this set now to begin making samples and prepare classes using this new set...a great benefit for being a demonstrator.
The cards above are all made with the Share What You Love stamp set. The set includes the images, the backgrounds, and the sentiments. Using only Very Vanilla cardstock, an Old Olive Stamp Pad, the Grapefruit Grove Stamp Pad, and an Old Olive Stamp Write Marker, you can create all four of these different looks with this stamp set. If you're just getting started as a new card maker, this is a wonderful way to get started.
This card above uses the flower image in Grapefruit Grove and some of the leaves full strength Old Olive and some leaves stamped off. The sentiment is stamped in Grapefruit Grove with the word Friends wiped and marked with the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker. There is a background image that is used to color some of the flowers by stamping them with Grapefruit Grove.
This card, above, is created by first stamping one of the background images from this set in Grapefruit Grove and then stamping the flower image onto Very Vanilla cardstock. The accents are stamped in Old Olive. The sentiment is again covered in Grapefruit Grove ink and the word "Friend" is wiped clean and then only the word "Friend" is colored with the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker.
The card above was created by punching a circle to use as a guide and then stamping the small leaf stamp in Old Olive around the outside of the circle. Then the sentiment was inked with Grapefruit Grove, then the word "beautiful" was wiped clean and reinked with the Old Olive stampin' Write marker. Then I stamped the small flowers several times and fussy cut several individual and a couple of bunches, popped them on mini dimensionals, and added them to the wreath. A wonderfully simple card for sending a quick message to let someone you love know that you're thinking of them.
The final card is another simple background from the set, stamped in Old Olive. Then a few accents were stamped in Old Olive. A sentiment block was stamped with the "Thank You" from this set, and then the flowers were stamped in Grapefruit Grove on Very Vanilla and fussy cut. There is a small stamp for adding color to your flower outline that makes creating these cards simple and fast.
If you want to get your hands on new products from the June catalog, you'll love ordering this early release set in May. I'll tell you more about how you can get this set and the Old Olive and Grapefruit Grove stamp pads in the new ink pad cases plus other specials as we get closer to the May early release of this set. I'll also show you more ways to use this set if you're a more experienced stamper who has a few more supplies to use on your cards. Also if you don't have an Old Olive marker, check out the items on the Clearance Rack. There is a combo Old Olive and a Real Red Stampin' Write Markers on sale for only US$ 2.80 until they are sold out. It's a great opportunity to buy the Marker without purchasing the entire set of Stampin' Write Marker.

Most items are only available until they sell out. Stamp sets will be available until May 25.
Note: Bundles that carry over to the new catalog are on the retired list because they will no longer receive special bundle pricing. They will only be priced as individual items. If you want a bundle listed in the current catalogs, purchase the bundles now from the current catalogs to ensure you receive the 10% bundle savings listed in the current catalog.
Note: All of the ink pads are on the Last-Chance List. But don't worry, or panic like I did when I saw them on the Last-Chance List. Not all the ink pad colors are retiring. Stampin' Up! is improving its ink pad cases as the dies for making the ink pad cases are coming to their end-of-life. Stampin' Up! is using this as an opportunity to improve the design, and to do it at the same time as the Color Revamp to reduce the number of overall changes to the product line.
The new ink pad cases will still fit your Stampin' Up! Color Caddy, although a bit more roomy, so don't spin it too fast. The covers will fit tighter and they will open more easily with less chance of the cover separating for the pad while opening. (Yeah! I've had that happen to me, with a stamp pad flying out of my hand, landing face down on my winter-white carpeting. So glad our inks are water-soluble and clean up so easily!) Stampin' Up! is also adding a defoamer to the ink to reduce bubbles and to give cleaner stamped images. The new reinkers will include the defoamer. You will only want to use the new reinkers with your new stamp pads. The existing reinkers do not include a defoamer.
