Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek
Here's another cute fall-themed card and a sneak peek at more of the new products that will be available September 5 from the Stampin' Up Holiday catalog. The images are actually cut from one of the prints from the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper. I used Blends to add more shading to the pumpkins to give them more realistic coloring, but these pumpkins are cute just as they are. The checked paper is a Christmas Paper from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog, which means you can order it this month and earn Bonus Coupons AND start creating holiday cards before the release of the Holiday catalog. Its from the Under the Mistletoe Suite, which includes coordinating papers, stamp sets, red rhinestones, ribbons, and embossing folders.
The Old Olive on the bottom of the card is dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. It is difficult to photograph, but in real life it looks very classy. The ribbon is 1/2" Black Satin Ribbon from the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. And the sentiment is from a Fall stamp set, called Country Home, a wonderful new set from the Holiday Catalog. You're going to love the images in this new set, which I'll show you in future posts...so stay tuned! This is an easy, fast card that you'll love making and sending to friends and family, now that the kids are back in school and you're thinking about the holidays quickly approaching as we move into Fall.
Here's what you need to make a pile of these fast cards.
Directions for today's card:
- Basic Black basecard
- Next layer is one of the prints from Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper on the top portion
- The bottom layer is Old Olive dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
- A 1/2" Black Satin Ribbon with a tied bow attached with glue dots
- Then the image layers include a black scalloped layer and a Whisper White layer created with the Layering Squares Framelits.
- The pumpkins were selected from several different pumpkin images on one of the prints from the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Papers (DSP), a Halloween paper set from the upcoming Holiday catalog. I fussy cut them from the DSP and glued them to the image layers.
- The sentiment is from the Country Home stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White. Notch the end to create a tail.
- Here are some additional projects created with the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and its coordinating suite of products, available in the annual catalog, pp 94-95. Purchase before August 31 and your purchase qualifies for Bonus Coupons. (Read more about Bonus Coupons below.)
