Winter Woods Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!
The stamp set and coordinating die bundle I'm highlighting today is the Winter Woods bundle. It comes in both clear and wood-mount Also, I found these cute bows in one of the dies from the Farm House Christmas Bundle. The small bows die cuts 6 bows at a time, which is extremely time-saving. The coordinating dies are call In the woods and it too includes time-saving dies by including duplicates of the detailed tree I used on the right side of my card as well as duplicates of the pine cone and duplicates of the individual pine bough. When I'm in a hurry, I love when a die set realizes what a pain it can be to cut duplicates of several small items. With duplicate dies of small items I can cut the pieces I need more quickly and spend time working on different card designs...or maybe watching one of the new Fall TV series that seem to be happening this week.
This card was originally just going to be a test of the dies and stamp set, but the layout came together so easily that I decided to add a ribbon, cut some red bows for the tree and just glued everything down...and it became one of my favorite cards!
The basecard for this card is Crumb Cake cardstock. The next layer is Soft Suede, which peeks out of the top and bottom of the image layer. The image layer is Whisper White.
The sentiment is from the Winter Woods Stamp set and it is stamped in Real Red at the bottom of the card. I added a small, Red Rhinestone near the sentiment.
I die cut one of the full trees and one of the bare trees -- both in Crumb Cake -- and glued them to the front of the card. The larger, fuller tree has edges you can flip up to create a more realistic tree. Use embossing paste to create snow on your tree. Then I used one of the dies from the Farmhouse Framelits Dies and cut six Real Red bows. This is a single die that cuts six bows.
The ribbon is the Gold metallic-edged ribbon, colored slightly with a Vanilla Blends to deepen the rich color of this ribbon.
Take a look at this video showing more details about this die set. If the video doesn't show in your browser, see it here. Hint: You want to watch this video to the end to see how to use it to coordinate with other tree sets in the main catalog...And its pretty funny!
All stamp sets and die bundles are available in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. If you haven't looked through the catalog, download a copy and look through the fun, new Holiday products. Now is a great time to order the stamp set and dies you want so you'll have them in plenty of time to create your hand made holiday cards.
