Sneak Peek of To A Wild Rose Stamp Set

As I was looking through some of my favorite stamps and dies today, I realized that two that I've used together forever -- Flourishing Phrases stamp set and May Flowers Framelits Dies, are soon to be separated.  While Flourishing Phrases made it into the new catalog with its coordinating die set, the dies I typically use with it -- May Flowers Framelits Dies and its coordinating die set, Falling Flowers--didn't carry over to the new catalog.  So today, I decided to pay my last tribute to the lovely May Flowers Framelits sets and find a replacement in the new sets that I liked just as much.  And I DID!.  The beautiful Wild Rose Dies and coordinating To A Wild Rose stamp set are a lovely replacement!  So I made cards with both.  And I'm showing off some of the new 2019--2021 In Color 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper colors and prints.
.

This first card, below, uses Flourishing Phrases and May Flowers Framelits Dies.  It's a basecard of Thick Whisper White.  Then a Layer of Pretty Peacock.  Then a new print from the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper.  The image later is matted in Pretty Peacock and then a layer of Whisper White.  The die cut is from May Flower Framelits, and I fussy cut the flower image, which is from Flourishing Phrases, as is the sentiment.

The second card, below, uses the same layout as the one above, but I'm using the new Wild Rose Dies, which cut and emboss, and the new To A Wild Rose stamp set.  I modified the long die on the right hand side so that the final die cut fit my image area.  The sentiment is also from To A Wild Rose. The To A Wild Rose stamp set is a 3-step stamp set.  Pretty Peacock ink was used on the stamped images.

I wanted to show off the dies from the Wild Rose Dies.  I probably would only use one of the two dies on future cards.  Tip:  To quickly add glue to these open die cuts, I apply it with a sponge on my Silicone Craft Sheet.  Then I keep the sponge in an airtight plastic bag labeled as a "glue sponge" so that I can reuse it again in the future.  To remove glue from your silicone Craft Sheet, just rinse in soapy water or clean with a baby wipe.  I love the textures created by the three-step stamps included in the To A Wild Rose stamp set.

I used the script print from the 2019-2021 In Color 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper Pack.  Below, I've laid out the four different prints included in each package along with the 5 new In Colors included:  Pretty Peacock -- which I used on today's cards --, Purple Posy, Terracotta Tile, Seaside Spray, and Rococo Rose.  I can't wait to try the To A Wild Rose in Rococo Rose.

While its hard to say goodbye to our favorites, I think Stampin' Up! has given us a beautiful replacement for the May Flowers Framelits in the new Wild Roses Dies.  You can still order the May Flowers Framelits Dies and the Falling Flowers Set until June 3, or while supplies last.  You might want to start of "Final Order" list to pick up any last-minute favorites to keep for your personal stash.  I know I'm keeping my May Flowers Framelits.  Be sure to add the new 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper and the To A Wild Rose Bundle to your Shopping List for the new annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  Ordering begins on June 4.
