Daisies, Daisies
Don't you think daisies are the friendliest flower? They are fun and trendy! Daisy Lane is one of the most popular bundles in the new catalog. That means, when you hit a creative block, you'll find plenty of inspiration for using this bundle on line. I found my inspiration for this card from Yvonne Neefjes from the Netherlands. Of course, I had to add my own flavor to the card.
I used a basecard of Terracotta Tile. Then a layer of Shimmery White cardstock that I water colored with Terracotta Tile reinker and an Aqua Painter. I started in the center of the piece of Shimmery White painting it darkest in the center and worked to a lighter color top and bottom. Once the Shimmery White layer was finished and dried, I stamped the leaf from Daisy Lane a couple of times in Terracotta Tile ink. Then I added a piece of 1/2" terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
Then, I stamped the large Daisy and the smaller Daisy from Daisy Lane in Terracotta Tile onto Whisper White. I punched the out with the two Daisy punched. I layered two Daisies together to give the fullness I wanted. The centers of each Daisies are 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots.

- Lace 3D Embossing Folder (Item 151815)
- Seasonal Wreath 3D Embossing Folder (Item 151796)
- Subtle 3D Embossing Folder (Item 151775)
- Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder (Item 151801)
- Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder (Item 151823)
Reminder: You will need to use the new 3D Embossing Folder Plate with these new-style 3D Embossing Folders (Item 149658). Its designed to work with the new-style 3D embossing folders (which are thinner than our old-style Dynamic folders).
How to Use the New Plate
The new plate makes up the difference in measurement between the old-style Dynamic Folders and the new-style 3D folders in 21 mm gap machines (similar to the machine Stampin' Up! used to offer). The 3D Embossing Folder Plate replaces the Standard Cutting Pads in your 3D embossing folder sandwich for continued high-quality embossing results.
To create your emboss sandwich:
- Use a die-cutting embossing machine platform as a base; no matter which machine you're using, use the standard platform which comes with your machine.
- Use the 3D Embossing Folder with your paper in the middle.
- Then use the 3D Embossing Folder Plate on top.
Given the differences in machines and platforms you may still have to add a shim to get your desired embossing results. (You can also spritz your paper before embossing to maximize your embossing impressions).
Without the new 3D Embossing Folder Plate, you will need to use several shims with the Standard Cutting Pad in your 3D embossing folder sandwich, depending on the die-cutting & embossing machine you use. Most machines will need between three to five sheets of cardstock to shim. Please be careful in how you shim, start out with fewer sheets first, then add sheets to get your desired results. Avoid using a sandwich which is too thick for your machine, or you may damage your machine.
