Stampin' Up! Parisian Blossoms Suite
One thing I've learned about crafting, but true of so many other things. The more you do something, the better you become. Some say that you need to do something 10,000 time in order to become an expert at something. I don't thing that's true of everything, however, I do know that making cards becomes easier and easier the more you do it.
Some days I find I need to challenge myself a little more than usual. Today was one of those days. I found a beautiful card to C.A.S.E. (Copy and Share Everything). It was created by Karen Hadler from NZ . And it totally challenged me! I chose this card because the layout was aesthetically pleasing, as were the color combinations used. It used the Parisian Blossoms Suite from the January-June 2020 Mini catalog. This is a big suite with two stamp and die sets, plus Designer Series Papers, a beautiful embossing folder, Champagne Rhinestone, and Petal Pink Metallic-Edge Ribbon.
The basecard for today's' card is Thick Whisper White. Then a layer of Petal Pink. Then a layer of Vellum Cardstock dry embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. Then the image layer is a print from the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Papers. This print includes silver foil words on the Peal Pink background. Is it die cut using one of the scalloped Rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
Using dies from the Cherry Blossoms Dies and from the Parisian Dies, I cut flowers, stems and leaves, swirls, and The Amour sentiment. In the center of the flowers I first used a sponge Dauber and Petal Pink ink to darker the centers to give them more depth before adding the Silver Foil flower centers. Then I used a Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends to color Metallic Pearls and added 3 of them as accents to the card front.
To complete my card, I tied about out of the Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edge Ribbon and attached it with Glue Dots.
You'll want to take a look at the entire Parisian Blossom Suite on pages 14-17 of the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog. You'll Love Everything you make with this suite. Buy the entire Parisian Blossoms Suite Bundle and select three free Level 1 items or one Level 1 and one Level 2 Free items from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.
If you don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the new, January - June 2020 Mini catalog, contact me. I would love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
