Stampin' Up! Flowering Blooms Stamp Set
One of the most beautiful flowers sets in the annual Stampin' Up! catalog is the Flowering Blooms Stamp Set. I needed several Thank You cards, and I'm so pleased with how quickly these cards went together and how hauntingly lovely they turned out. The Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder added a charming texture to the background and the Purple Pose and Highland Heather colors were a pleasing compliment.
The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White. Then a Purple Pose layer dry embossed with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder. Then the image layer is matted in Highland Heather, and the image is stamped in Tuxedo Black on a Whisper White panel.
The Flowering Blooms image was colored with Light Purple Posy Stampin' Blends and the leaves were colored with Old Olive Stampin' Blends. The sentiment, also from the Flowering Blooms Stamp Set, was stamped in Old Olive Ink.
I used the Light Purple Posy Stampin' Blends to color the Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon before adding a bow of ribbon to the card front. To add a little bling to the card front, I scattered 3 clear Elegant Faceted Gems on the card front. Change the sentiment on this card, and it would work for Thinking of You, Sympathy, or Just Saying Hello.
This set includes a set of coordinating dies, called Flowering Dies, but you'll be able to create beautiful cards if you only purchase the stamp set.
