Fun, Easy Holiday card using Star-Crossed Embossing Folder and Little Delights Stamp Set

As soon as I saw the sample card for the Little Delights Stamp Set in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog, I knew I had to order it and couldn't wait to make the sample card.  It uses a technique called Stamping off so you only use two ink pads--Real Red & Pear Pizzazz--by Stamping off, you end up with additional colors.  I also used one of the dies from the Seasonal Labels Dies to create the label for the sentiment and added a gold Gilded Gem to the corner of the label to add a little bling to the card.  You'll have fun with the Little Delights Stamp Set as an all-around set for Halloween, Christmas, Thank You cards and Birthday Celebration.  This is definitely one of the must-have sets you'll want to add to your Mini Catalog purchases, when it begins 3 August 2021.  

The basecard for this card is Real Red Cardstock.  Then a layer of Smoky Slate.  And the image later is Basic White, dry embossed using new Star-Crossed Embossing Folder from the upcoming July-December 2021 Mini catalog.   It creates a diagonal pattern that is half stars and half squares.

I used the little Christmas Tree light bulb to create the pattern on the right side of the card.  I stamped the little light bulbs BEFORE I dry embossed the Basic White sheet.  To create the different colors, I used the Stamping Off technique.  That's where you ink your image and stamp once full strength, and without inking your stamp again, stamp a light shade of the same image  I used this technique with both the Real Red and Pear Pizzazz ink.  

Then I selected one of the dies from the new Seasonal Labels Dies that fit my sentiment, and die cut the label using Pear Pizzazz Cardstock.  I used the Merry Christmas stamp from the Little Delights Stamp Set for my sentiment.  Then I added a gold medium sized Gilded Gem to the corner of the sentiment label.  

  

This is a great card to showcase several techniques -- Stamping off; dry embossing, and die cutting--and it goes together quickly if you are creating a stack of Holiday cards.  You want to add Little Delights Stamp Sets to your Shopping list to ensure you have it in plenty of time to create Fall and Holiday cards.   You can order current Annual Catalog items from my Stampin' Up! shopping site  24 X 7.  You can begin ordering from the new July-December 2021 Mini catalog beginning 3 August 2021
