- Get-well Card using Stampin' Up! Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper

I'm using another print from the beautiful Abigail Rose Designer Series Papers for today's card. I paired it with Crumb Cake and Pale Papaya Cardstock, and die cut several of the open flowers using the Cottage Flowers Dies, which coordinates with the Cottage Rose Stamp Set. The sentiments are from the Cottage Rose Stamp Set and I created sentiment labels using dies from the Hippo & Friends Dies. The 1/4" Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim brings out the Early Espresso in the Designer Series print I'm using from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper. I used a Soft Suede Blends Marker to color the smallest size Classic Matte Dots to coordinate with the paper. This paper lends itself to fast, simple cards that you'll enjoy sending to those you love. Today's card uses a base card of Crumb Cake Cardstock. Then I matted a 2" wide strip of one of the prints from the Abigail Rose 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper Pack with Pale Papaya. The Pale Papaya matte is 2-1/4" wide.
I used Pale Papaya Cardstock and die cut a few of the open flowers and leaves using the Cottage Flowers Dies, and die cut sentiment labels using the Hippo & Friends Dies from Pale Papaya and Crumb Cake Cardstock. To create the narrow Pale Papaya matte around the Crumb Cake sentiment, I traced the outer edge of the die I used and hand cut the Pale Papaya matte layer. I discovered the Hippo & Friends Dies have retired, but you'll find shapes in the Seasonal Dies that will work if you are CASING this card. Its personal preference. You could also use the next size die, which creates a wider matte.
To complete the card, I stamped sentiments from the Cottage Rose stamp set onto the Crumb Cake sentiment layers. Then, I used a Dark Soft Suede Blends alcohol-based Marker to color the smallest side Classic Matte Dots. I colored them several times, waiting for them to dry, in order to get a deeper shade to match the Early Espresso elements on the card. Then I added them to the corners of the sentiment layers. Finally, I added a 1/4" Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim to the side of the card.
