Here's a simple, fun idea for creating Halloween cards. I used one of the prints from the Celebrate Everything Designer Serie paper Pack, a 48 sheet pack you can purchase for $18.00 USD, with a $150.00 USD order. This paper pack is 4 times the size of our normal Designer series Paper Packs, and includes 4 each of 12 doubt-sided designs. It's perfect for creating fall and winter cards, scrapbook pages or treat holders. And with 4 of each design, you'll have enough to creat the duplicates you want to make. I used a basecard of Highland Heather, and selected a black and white print with pumpkins and ghosts. I used Pumpkin Pie Blends to color the pumpkins and left the ghosts white. I cut the print into stips and matted it on black. I added a Black and White Gingham Ribbon , and a sentiment from the Vintage Christmas Stamp Set and this card went together in a few minutes time. I like fat easy cards that I can use around holidays. This is an easy, fast way to create for Halloween when you have limited Halloween sets.
Today's Christmas Card uses a base card of Highland Heather Cardstock. Then I selected a pumpkin and ghost print from the Celebrate Everting Host Designer Series Paper, colored the pumpkin images with Pumpkin Pie Blends and Granny Apple Green stems, and cut the design into strips. I matted the strips onto Basic Black Cardstock.
I added a Black & White 1/4" Gingham ribbon to the bottom of the card. I needed a longer banner than the die from the Stylish Shapes creates, so I die cut it just a bit longer to fit my sentiment. This die cutting technique is easy. You just place your top cutting plate to stop cutting before the pointed ends of your banner. Then you reposition your die and cut the pointy end.

The sentiment is from the Vintage Christmas stamp set, and works perfectly for this card. I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink and popped it up on Dimensionals before adding it to my card.
