Lost Lagoon is one of the colors in the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper that I wasn't sure I would like, but creating this card cemented Lost Lagoon as one of my favorites from the recent Color Refresh of the Stampin' Up! product line. I'm working through the beautiful designs in the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper, and I'm finding lots of beautiful color combinations work with this paper pack. hat's a lot of yellow!! Yup. I really like Stampin' Up! Daffodil Delight. So when I saw this print in the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper Pack, I just had to create a monochromatic Daffodil Delight card. My color theme is Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and Basic White. I used a Basic White die cut from the Meadow Dies that reminded me of the print in the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper. I used the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder on one of the Daffodil Delight layers. I used sentiments from the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set, which coordinated with the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper. I added Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots as accents, and I found a retired Daffodil Delight ribbon in my stash that worked perfectly with this card -- one of the benefits of hoarding retired Stampin' Up! retired products!
The basecard for this card is Daffodil Delight Cardstock Then a layer of Daffodil Delight Cardstock dry embossed using the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder. Then one of the prints from the Inked Botanicals 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper matted in Basic White Cardstock.
To complete my card, I die cut a sentiment label using a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I used sentiments from the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set and stamped the sentiments in Daffodil Delight ink. I finished by adding a couple Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment.
