Today I'm going to show you a few of the alternative cards I created using the August 2023 Meaningful Flowers Paper Pumpkin Kit. I loved the fun forget-me-not and pink lily elements they gave us in this kit, and even after making all these cards, I still have plenty of elements to use to make more beautiful cards. And, if you're a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, there are refills available , Item #163864, $11.50 US. The Thoughts of Thanks Journal, the add-on for next month's With Love & Gratitude September 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit, specially designed by Shelli Gardner, is already available. Item #163270, $15.00 US.
The two cards above were created using the inside of one of the envelopes included with the August Meaningful Flowers Paper Pumpkin Kit. I used a Daffodil Delight Base Card, and matted the envelopes portion on a Garden Green Matte. I added Azure Afternoon Sheer Ribbon from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. I also stamped the sentiments in Azure Afternoon Ink on Basic White sentiment labels. I added Brushed Brass Butterflies as accents.
My next two alternative card ideas used the pink lotus flower and lily pad die cuts from the Meaningful Flowers Paper Pumpkin Kit as accents on one of the base cards also included in the kits. I cut a 1" strip off the right side of one of the cards fronts from the kit , and then trimmed a 1-1/4" strip off the front of a 5-1/2 X 4-1/4" Bubble Bath basecard.

This card uses one of the lily pad card fronts included with the kit. First I used the Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the card front. Then I used one of the dies from the Scalloped Contours Dies to die cut a portion of center of the card out. I popped it up on Dimentionals before adding it back to the center of the card. I used one of the lotus die cuts from the card elements and also popped it up on Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in the Pretty Peacock ink spot included in the kit. Then I added a Bubble Bath Bow using ribbon from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack from the Annual Catalog. I used some retired gems that matched my background. I find that making alternative cards with my Paper Pumpkin Refills allows me to use us some of the wonderful accessories that I hadn't finished using before they retired.
The card above uses one of the images from one of the two stamp sets included in the August 2023 Meaningful Flowers Paper Pumpkin Kit. I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then colored it using Water Painters and Azure Afternoon Ink and Garden Green Ink. I didn't like the effect, so I used my Light Azure Afternoon Blends to add more color to the flowers. I used a Garden Green cardbase, and then used the Radiating Stitches Dies, an Online Exclusive from the Stampinup.com site, to die cut Basic White, and Garden Green layers to matte the Basic White image layer. I added a ribbon of Azure Afternoon from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Pack from the Annual Catalog. The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink from the ink spot included in this Paper Pumpkin Kit.
The final two cards again used one of the envelopes. I peeled it open and then cut it into two strips. Then I found my retired Subtle Embossing Folder and ran them through my Stampin' Up! Cut & Emboss Machine. Then, I matted each of the forget-me-not floral images with Garden Green Cardstock. I also dry embossed the front of my Thick Basic White basecards using the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, a new folder in the September - December 2023 Mini Catalog that will be available for purchase 6 September 2023. I used Basic White sentiment labels on both cards. One is die cut using the retired Stitched Rectangle Dies, and the other a circle from the using the Stylish Shapes Dies from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. One uses a retired textured Hello Honey ribbon and the other uses a Garden Green Ribbon from the Real Red and Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack form the Annual Catalog.
