Here's another fun-fold card to showcase your Designer Series Papers from the One Horse Open Sleigh Designers Series Paper Try this fast, easy card with almost any of the prints from this fun Designer Series Paper. It is one of the papers in the Online Exclusives line of Stampin' Up! Products. Its only available from the Stampinup.com website. It will never be in any of the catalogs. This card uses two pieces of Night of Navy for the base card and the tent fold in the center of the card. Then I trimmed a 6" X 6" print from the One Horse Open Sleigh papers, first selecting the section I wanted to use as my focal point, and then using additional elements on each side of the center tent. You'll find several prints that lend themselves to providing a focal point from this Designer Series Paper pack. The tent fold center piece is attached with Tear & Tape, and I used a piece of Boarded Night of Navy 3/8" Ribbon at the bottom of my card. I added a piece of Basic White to the inside of my card and decorated it with another piece from this Designer Series Paper, and stamped a sentiment from the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set. This makes a great card to use for different occasions around the colder months of the year. Credit for this card design goes to Demonstrator Susan Campfield.
The basecard for today's card is Night of Navy Cardstock Cardstock. Then, the tent layer is also Night of Navy Cardstock. The dimensions for all of the pieces for this card are below.
The Night of Navy Basecard of 4-1/4 X 11", is scored at 1" 2" and 6-1/2" and is folded like the photo below. The tent-fold center Night of Navy piece is 2-1/2" X 8-1/2 and it is scored at 3".
I selected the chateau from the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper to use as my focal point and cut it 2-1/2" wide by 4-3/8" high. Then I selected two tree elements from the same 6 X 6" sheet of Designer Series Paper and cut them at 1" X 4-1/4" to use on each side of the base card. I added Tear & Tape to the bottom 1/2" of the tent-fold center piece, and lined up the piece with the bototm of the front of the card first. Then I flattened the card, turned it over, and removed the covering from the Tear & Tape on the back side of the tent-fold center piece and stuck it to the basecard. It ends up sticking about 2-1/2" from the bottom of the base card.
I added a ribbon accent at the base of the card using the Night of Navy 3/8" Bordered Ribbon. Then I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card, and accented it with another scrap from the same sheet of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper. I selected a sentiment from the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set, and stamped it in Night of Navy Ink.
Card Dimensions:
- Card Base: 4-1/4 X 11", Scored at 1" 2" and 6-1/2"
- Popup tent-fold center: 2-1/2" X 8-1/2", Scored at 3"
- Designer Series Paper: Select a focal point: 2-1/2 wide X 4-3/8" high, Then select additional visual elements and cut 2 pieces at 1" X 4-1/4"
- Optional: DSP 3/4 X 4" for covering bottom panel, or use a ribbon embellishment
- Inside card: 4" X 4-1/4"
- Front Sentiment Label, Optional: 2-1/2 X 1-1/2. I only used a sentiment on the inside.
