Rustic Crate with Pumpkins and Sunflowers creates great Fall Greeting Cards

I had so much fun playing with the new Rustic Crate Bundle from the September - December 2023 Mini Catalog today, that I ended up making two versions of the card.  This fun new stamp and die bundle creates a rustic crate to hold the fall pumpkins, sun flowers and corn, or poinsettias and other foliage images with sentiments appropriate for several different occasions.  I used a color theme for today's cards of Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Basic White, Copper Clay, and Blends Markers in Dark Crumb Cake, Light Wild Wheat, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Cajun Craze, and Mossy Meadow.  I used the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder to create the pattern on the Basic White Cardstock layer, and I used several die cuts from the Rustic Crate Dies to assemble a Pecan Pie Rustic Crate on one card, and I used a Copper Clay Designer Series paper from the Fresh As a Daisy Designer Series Paper to create a circle background for the other card.  I used a Mossy Meadow print from the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper pack on both cards, and found an Adhesive Backed Speckled Dot that worked well as an accent for both cards.   I can't wait to try other ideas with the Rustic Crate elements as this stamp set has images that would work well for Fall as well as the Holidays.       

The basecard for this card is Mossy Meadow Cardstock.  Then I used the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder to dry emboss a layer of Basic White Cardstock.  Next, after not finding a suitable Mossy Meadow print among my current papers, I found one in the Brightly Gleaming 12" X 12" Designer Series paper pack, one of the papers in my retired stash, and I cut a 2" X 5-1/4" band.  I next cut a 1/2" band of  Cajun Craze that spanned the width of the card.  I used the largest circle in the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut a Basic White Cardstock circle for one card, and I used the same die to cut a circle from a Copper Clay wash print from Fresh As A Daisy 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper to use on my second card.  

Next, I used the Rustic Crate Dies to die cut the the elements for the crate using Pecan Pie Cardstock with Early Espresso elements for the side.  The crate folds together inward and the two pieces forming the crate are glued together. I also created the end panels using Early Espresso Cardstock.  Because these pieces were so small, I used the Adhesive Sheets on the back of the cardstock before I die cut them, which made them easy to apply to the ends of the crate.  I then stamped the Fall pumpkins, sunflowers and corn onto Basic White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Then I used an assortment of Blends Alcohol-based Markers to color the pumpkins and flowers.  Dark Crumb Cake was my choice for the center of the flowers. Light Wild Wheat, and Light and Dark Daffodil Delight were used to color the daisies and the corn.  Light Pumpkin Pie, and  Light Cajun Craze were the colors of Blends I used on the pumpkins, and Mossy Meadow was used on the leaves. Once colored, I die cut the assortment using one of the dies in the Rustic Crate Dies.   

To finish my cards, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Rustic Crate Stamp set onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock using Pecan Pie Ink.  Then I added Mossy Meadow Dots from the Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots assortment pack, which will be available 6 September with the release of the 2023 September - December Mini catalog form Stampin' Up!.
