When I begin working with a new stamp set and coordinating dies bundle, like today's Merriest Trees Bundle, I like to try a simple card layout that lets me get a feel for how I might work with this stamp set. I decided on a color theme of Verry Vanilla and Pecan Pie with Copper accents. I stamped the large tree in Pecan Pie Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, and then used Versamark Ink to stamp a sentiment over the tree. I covered the stamped sentiment with White Embossing Powder and heat set the embossing powder with my Heat tool. Then, I added a detailed Copper Foil star die cut at the top of the tree, followed by added Copper Metallic Enamel Effects dots throughout the tree. Finally, I added a bow of Pecan Pie 1/2" Ribbon and mounted my Very Vanilla and Pecan cardstock layers onto a Thick Very Vanilla card base. I love the simplicity of this card, and I know I'll be using this design when producing large quantities of cards during the holiday.

The basecard for this card is Thich Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then I used a layer of Pecan Pie Cardstock, and, finally, I added another layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock as my image layer.
Next, I stamped the tree from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set in Pecan Pie Ink onto the Very Vanilla Cardstock. I selected a sentiment from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set and stamped it in VersaMark Ink onto the center of my tree image. I tried to position the words so they would all on the solid Pecan Pie color as much as possible. Then I covered the VersaMark Ink with White Embossing Powder, and set it with my Heat Tool.
To finish my cards, I tied a bow in a Pecan Pie Bordered 1/2" Ribbon and added it at the base of the tree. Then I used one of the delicate star dies from the Merriest Trees Dies and die cut a star from a scrap of Copper Foil Sheet and added it to the top of my tree. Then I added Copper Metallic Enamel Effect dots all over the tree.
