There nothing more rewarding than catching up on your creative ideas. Today was a Paper Pumpkin Procrastinators Day, and we focused on catching up on our January Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin Kit. This kit makes 8 cards, 4 each of 2 designs. I decided to use the contents of the kit and made 8 alternative cards, 2 each of 4 different designs. The contents of this kit coordinates with the Love of Spring Dies, Item # 164396, as well as the Perennial Lavender Suite, Item #162613, so you'll see die cuts and papers from this suite on my cards as well. I'm excited to share the four alternative card designs I made using the contents of the Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin Kit. These cards elevated the original ideas in the Paper Pumpkin Kit, and provide cards for a variety of occasions. The Paper Pumpkin Concept Designers and Artisan Demonstrators outdid themselves with additional alternative ideas. And, as a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can purchase refills for your Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin Kit, Item 164384 | $11.50 USD.
Below layout is a faux step card. The basecard of Gorgeous Grape is 4-1/4" X 11, and is scored at 1" 2" and 6-1/2". The tent-fold center Gorgeous Grape piece is 2-3/4" X 8-1/2 and scored at 3". I used one of the tags popped out from a base card from the kit to cover the center piece, and I used one of the prints from the Perennial Lavender 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper cut to 4" X 4" to cover the basecard section behind the center tent-fold. I reversed the leaves die cuts from the Lovely Lavender Kit to use the White side, along with a leaves die cut using the add-on, Love of Spring dies I also added a die cut from the Painted Lavender Dies cut from Basic White Cardstock. I added Pastel Pearls as accents, but the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems from the Perennial Lavender Suite would also work. The sentiment is from the Notes of Nature Stamp Set.
The next card, below, uses one of the Crumb Cake Polka Dot basecards from the Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin Kit, cut to use as the main layer for my card. It is matted in Basic White, with a Crumb Cake Basecard. I used one of the tags from the Lovely Lavender Kit, and added die cuts from the kit along with Garden Green die cuts using the Painted Lavender Dies. and the leaves from the add on, Love of Spring Dies. I added a burlap bow from the Real Red and Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack from the Annual Catalog, a sentiment label from the Thoughtful Expressions Dies and the sentiment from the Wild Ferns Stamp Set is stamped in Highland Heather ink.
The following card, below, is essentially one of the layouts from the January Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin Kit including the sentiment label, die cuts and the stamped image is from the stamp set included with this kit. However, I changed the sentiment by adding a Thanks die cut from the Retired Amazing Thanks Dies, and added a few Gorgeous Grape Pastel Pearls as accents.
The final alternative card idea, below, from the January 2024 Lovely Lavender Paper Pumpkin Kit, uses the polka dot Crumb Cake basecard and one of the tags from the kit. I created an additional tag using one of the prints from the Perennial Lavender 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper, which coordinates with this Kit, using the Tailor Make Tags Dies from the Annual Catalog. I used leaves and flower die cuts from the Lovely Lavender Kit, along with twine from the kit to create bows for the tags. The sentiment label is from the kit, and I stamped a birthday sentiment in Highland Heather from the Notes of Nature Stamp Set.
