Joyful hummingbird sipping nectar as it darts from wildflowers in colorful bouquets on the side of the road is enough to cure any bad day.  The Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set pairs beautifully with the blooms in the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper from the thoughtful Journey Suite Collection. Create a world of wonder and sweetness with die cuts from your collection, including Round We Go, Spotlight on Nature, Country Birdhouse, Flowers of Beauty and Thoughtful Expression Dies creating foliage, florals and pinwheel accents for your hummingbird greeting card. The dreamy color palette for this card includes Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Petunia Pop, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink and Basic White.  The Hummingbird from the Thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set and the sentiment from the Quiet Reflections Stamp Set are stamped in Lost Lagoon Ink. Two-inch strips of Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper with a meadow filled with flowers on a Lost Lagoon Cardstock basecard creates the background for the Humming Bird.   The card beneath the Hummingbird opens from the bottom to reveal a sentiment area.  Accents include Adhesive-backed Pearl trio, which is part of the Thoughtful Journey Suite Collection.  

The basecard for today's card is Lost Lagoon Cardstock and is 8-1/2 X 5-1/2, scored at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4".  Then a 6" X 6" print from the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper is cut into 2" strips to cover 3/4 of the card.  An additional print from another piece of Thoughtful Journey is used to create a 2" strip on the final panel

Next, decorate the final panel and create a folded sentiment layer that is also used to secure the folded left panels in place.  The sentiment piece is a 4-1/2" X 2-1/2" Lost Lagoon Cardstock, scored at 2-3/4" on the long side.  A piece of Basic White Cardstock cut to 2-1/2" X 2-1/4" is used for a sentiment area inside the folded Lost Lagoon Sentiment flap.

The hummingbird from Thoughtful Expressions is stamped in Lost Lagoon Ink onto Basic White Cardstock, colored with Lost Lagoon Blends, and die cut using thoughtful expressions Dies.  The Thoughtful Expressions Dies did not carry over with the thoughtful Expressions Stamp Set from the last catalog, so you can also fussy cut this element.  Create a pinwheel under the hummingbird using two of Pool Party Cardstock die cuts using the Round We Go Dies, and adhere the two die cut piece together, offsetting them slightly.  Also, die cut a Petunia Pop Cardstock foliage piece using the Flowers of Beauty Dies.  Layer these elements onto the front of the folded Lost Lagoon Sentiment area.  Using one of the Spotlight on Nature Dies, Die cut a Pool Party circle to layer under the folded sentiment piece.  Pop the Hummingbird onto Dimensionals before adding it to the front of the Lost Lagoon sentiment piece, and glue the Spotlight on Nature die cut circle to the back of the sentiment piece before adhering the piece to the card.  Only attach the right side of the sentiment piece to the card leaving the left side loose so the folded card layers tuck beneath it to keep the card closed.

Use three sizes of flower dies from the Country Birdhouse Dies to create Petunia Pop and Pretty In Pink flowers to decorate the rest of this panel.  Use the leaf die from the Thoughtful expressions Dies to die cut an Old Olive leaf branch for the card front.  

To finish the card, on the inside of the Lost Lagoon sentiment piece, attach the Basic White Cardstock layer.  Then, select the "You're on my mind" sentiment from the Quiet Reflection Stamp Set and stamp the sentiment in Lost Lagoon Ink.  Add pearls from the Adhesive Pearl-backed Trio pack to the outside of the sentiment layer.
