Beginning 3 July, Stampin' Up! Bonus Days, New Kits, Glass Mat and Several new Online Exclusives become available. Today's card uses one of the new Online Exclusives: Stampin' UP! Green & Gold Suite Collection. Is it too early to begin Christmas Cards? I say: "It's never too early to make lovely, heartfelt Christmas Card!" However, Stampin' Up! is ahead of us, and in addition to the holiday sentiments and images in this suite, they are also offering a matching all-occasions Sentiment Stamp, called Everyday Greetings Stamp Set, Item #165084 | $21 USD, as another Online Exclusive, that can be used to create all-occasions cards from the Green & Gold Suite Collection. What a great idea for extending the usefulness of this beautiful suite! Today's creation uses both sets of dies from the Suite--Golden Greenery Dies to die cut images from the Seasons of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper, and Greetings of the Season Dies to cut a sentiment label. Color theme for this card is Old Olive, Basic White and three different prints from the Green & Gold Designer Series Papers from this suite. This card also has a flap for holding a gift card. Or, the flap can become a single layer for a traditional greeting card. The sentiment is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set, and it is stamped in Old Olive ink onto a Basic White sentiment label die cut using the Greetings of the Season Dies. Use the die cut bells and a pine bough from the Designer Series Paper to add interest to the sentiment label. Add a Gold Trim bow. This suite also includes Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive Backed Berries accessories. I selected one of the Cherry Cobbler berries trio to add to the pine bough. Thank you to Gail Ellis, fellow demonstrator, for inspiration for this card.
The basecard for this card is Old Live Cardstock. Then a layer of one of the prints from the Seasons of Green & Gold 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper. Then, to make the folded area for the gift card holder, cut a 3-1/2" X 8-1/2" piece of Old Olive Cardstock, and score at 4-1/4" along the long side. To the folded flap, add a layer of Basic White Cardstock, and one of the prints from the Seasons of Green & Gold 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Then, using the Greetings of the Season Dies, die cut a Basic White sentiment label. Using the Golden Greenery Dies, die cut a pine bough and a large and small bell from another print from the Season of Green & Gold 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper. Opening the folded Old Olive flap, add a 1-1/2" X 4-1/4" piece of designer series paper. Add adhesive along the bottom and two sides of the designer series paper, leaving the top open to slip in a gift card.
