I can't stop playing with the with the July Painted Petals Paper Pumpkin Kit! Here are a few more Alternative card ideas made with this kit. These Kits keep getting better and better, and as they become more popular, we're seeing that kit refills are selling out very quickly -- like the July Painted Petals Kit refills that sold out the first day they became available! These cards I'm showing go together quickly and even the fun fold card can be created in about 30-40 minutes. Dimensions for the fun fold card can be found in this earlier post.
On the card above, I used a Pretty In Pink Basecard. Then, I cut a diagonal piece of one of the Melon Mambo basecards from the Kit. Then I cut a piece of Basic White with a Smoky Slate matte to use under the Melon Mambo die cut flowers and frame from the Paper Pumpkin Kit. The Old Olive rectangle is from another of the basecards in the kit I selected a sentiment from the Sketched butterflies Stamp Set and stamped it in Smoky Slate on Basic White and than I fussy cut around it to mimic the shaped sentiments die cuts from the Kit. I love being able to personalize the cards in the kit to meet my needs I added a few Adhesive Backed Sequins in Melon Mambo from my retired embellishment stash.
I used a Thick Basic White Basecard. Then, I lined the panels with mattes of Old Olive Cardstock.
Next, I sliced open one of the
On the back panel, the Thick Basic White Basecard is covered with a layer of Old Olive Cardstock. Then I created a card with a Basic White base of 4-1/8" X 6" scored at 3" along the long side. Then a layer of Old Olive, and then a layer of Flowers from the Old Olive Matching Envelope. Then, the inside of this card is decorated with floral stamp from the Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set included in this Kit and you can add sentiments from the kit or other sentiments that meet your need.

This final Alternative card idea, below, uses a basecard of Old Olive Cardstock. Then a layer of Basic White cardstock dry embossed using the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder. I added a 1-3/4" X 4" strip of striped Old Olive cut from one of the basecards included in the Kit. Then I die cut a circle from the Spotlight on Nature Dies from Basic White Cardstock. I used a Water Painter and Old Olive Stamp Pad to create a watercolor background on the circle. I die cut one of the flowers stamped from the stamp set included in this set, and colored it with Old Olive and Peach Pie Blends, added a few more leaves, and popped the flower up on dimensionals before adding it to the circle background. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Kit in Smoky Slate, and added it to one of the Peach Pie background strips from the kit. Using the kit contents along with your own coordinating paper colors and accessories, you can often create alternative cards in excess of the number of cards in the kit.
