I'm still enthralled with the July Painted Petals Paper Pumpkin Kit and the many Alternative card ideas I'm seeing made from this kit. It inspired me to create this card using the kit contents and a few items from my stash. The only negative is that refills for this kit sold out the first day they became available! The safe bet is to set up a Paper Pumpkin subscription so that you're ensured you'll receive a Paper Pumpkin Kit each month. This is the second alternative card I created with the kit contents, and I'm anxious to make more cards with this delightfully designed kit. This fun fold card Alternative made with the kit, includes additional Melon Mambo Cardstock, and also uses one of the matching envelopes and one of the basecards from the Kit. When folded up, it looks like a normal card. When its folded open, it just keeps opening up until you get to the hidden card and sentiment area on the end panel. Thanks to www.stampwithlaurie.com for the inspiration for this card.
I used a Thick Basic White Basecard. Then lined the panels with mattes of Melon Mambo Cardstock. envelopes, I covered the center two panels with the Melon Mambo print from the inside of the envelope. I used one of the Melon Mambo basecards from the kit for the front and fourth panel, using a section with the florals on each panel. Then I selected one of the Melon Mambo die cuts and lined the frame with Vellum Cardstock. I adhered the floral die cut to the front of the card, attaching only the left portion to the front panel leaving the right side free.

On the back panel, the Basic White Basecard is covered with a layer of Melon Mambo. Then I created a card with a Basic White base of 4-1/8" X 6" scored at 3" along the long side. Then a layer of Melon Mambo, and then a layer of Flowers from the Envelope. Then, the inside of this card is decorated with floral stamp from the Stamp Set included in this Kit and one of the sentiments from the kit.
Card dimensions:
Basecard: 5-1/2 X 11", scored at 1-3/4, 3-1/2", 5-1/4" and 7"
At 1-1/4" on the long side, go down to 1-3/4" score line and
cut down two score lines on both sides.
Front Panels: Melon Mambo mattes:
5-1/4 X 1-1/2 (Need two, 1st and 4th panel)
1" X 1-1/2" (Need 4, 2nd and 3rd panels)
2-3/4" X 1-1/2" (Need 2, middle of 2nd and 3rd panels)
Panel Decoration:
From Basecard: 5" X 1-1-4" (need two- cut one floral)
From Envelope: 1-3/8 X 7/8" (need 4)
2-3/8" X 1-3/8" (need 2)

Several of us are planning to work on the July Paper Pumpkin Painted Petals Kit, so we'll be sharing alternative card ideas you can make with this kit. Feel Free to bring any of your Paper Pumpkin Kits to assemble or any paper crafting projects you want to work on.
Bring your kit and crafting tools. If you plan to make alternative cards, you may want to bring cardstock in these colors: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Calypso Coral, Gray Granite, Melon Mambo, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, and Basic Beige.
