As the winter season unfolds, there's no better time to craft all-occasion cards that capture the beauty of the season. Today, we'll create a delightful card using the Stampin' Up! Winterly tree Tops Bundle, seamlessly designed for birthdays, "Thinking-of-You" sentiments, and everything in between. Our color theme today is Basic White, Shaded Spruce and Coastal Cabana, with textures created by the Pool Party 5/8" Pom Pom Ribbon, pine bough die cuts and a woodgrain print from the Nest of Winter Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is stamped in Coastal Cabana Ink on a Unbounded Love Die Cut Basic White sentiment label.
To get started, choose a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock measuring 11" X 4.25". Fold this cardstock in half and score with a bone folder to create a crisp base measuring 4.25 X 5.5" . Then create the image focal point starting by adding a Basic White matte of 5.5" X 4". Next, bring the card to life with exciting textures and colors. On the top portion of the Basic White matte, adhere a Coastal Cabana and White squares print from the Nest of Winter Designer Series Paper. On the bottom half, layer a Woodgrain print from the same Designer Series Paper. The combination of these two prints creates a beautiful and cohesive look.
As a finishing touch for the layered prints, cover the seam where they join with a strip of Pool Party 3/8" Pom Pom Ribbon Secure this ribbon behind the focal point piece to maintain a clean and elegant appearance.
The focal point of this card features charming die cuts of birds from the Nest of Winter Designer Series Paper, elegantly die cut using the Winterly Tree Tops Dies. These two-birds die cuts bring a lively element to the design and serve as a reminder of the beauty of nature during winter. To add dimension and excitement, adhere the birds using Dimensionals, allowing them to stand out against the background.
Moreover, enhance the scene by incorporating Shaded Spruce pine boughs die cuts, created with the same Winterly Tree Tops Dies. These die cuts add a touch of the outdoors, making the card feel both fresh and inviting. This thoughtful combination of layering, texture and color not only highlights the focal point but also makes the card versatile for any occasion.
To finish the card, a sentiment is added to a Basic White sentiment label created using the Unbounded Love Dies. The sentiment is stamped in Coastal Cabana Ink, and the sentiment label is popped up on Dimensionals. Two Basic White pine Boughs die cuts are added to the sentiment label to add more texture and interest to the card.
