When we observe birds perched confidently on branches, it evokes a sense of freedom and majesty.. they seem to flaunt their ability to soar above the world, echoing the sentiment that true strength lies in trusting oneself, much like a bird trusts its wings, not the branches beneath it. This concept is beautifully captured in our latest greeting card project, showcasing the tools from the Stampin' up! Nests of Winter Suite. Each chirping note transforms into a sentiment, perfect for communicating love and appreciation to someone dear. The confidence of birds inspires our creative journey, urging us to express heartfelt thoughts through the captivating imagery of winter birds in the Ness of Winter Suite Collection.
Crafting with Nature's Palette
To begin this delightful card-making process, gather your materials from the Nest of Winter Suite including the Winterly Tree Tops Stamp Set and Dies. Select a vibrant image of a chickadee from the 12" X 12" Nest of Winter Designer Series Paper Pair it with a Birch Wood print from the same DSP pack, forming a natural backdrop that embodies the essence of winter's beauty. The combination of colors -- Gray Granite and Basic White--enhances the serene atmosphere, while the additional hues in the bird design, like Basic Black with Gray Granite, Shaded Spruce, and Cherry Cobbler, brings life to your project. Use the Radiating Stitched Dies to create a focal point for your card. This die cut acts as a perfect canvas, showcasing the lovely chickadee amidst the intricacies of winter, reminding us of the confidence we can find amid chilly days.
Start with a basecard of Thick Basic White Cardstock measuring 4.25" X 11". Fold this cardstock in half and score with a bone folder to create a crisp fold for your basecard with a final measurement of 4.25 X 5.5". Then, add your layers of Gray Granite, and the Birch Wood print from the Nests of Winter 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper. Die cut the circle with radiating edges using the Radiating Stitched Dies, and pop it up on Dimensionals before adding it to your card front.
