While attending Stampin' Up! OnStage Convention I attended additional events put on by other Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrators before or after the Stampin' Up! OnStage activities. I mentioned one in my last post. Another one I attended was Julie Gilson's from Stampin' Gala's Class. We created cards with new stamp sets, and today I'm sharing two of the six projects we made. These two use the Stampin' Up! Twisted in Time Bundle. This new set was released as an Online Exclusive on March 4, so you may have missed it, but you're sure to want it after seeing these cards. These cards feature a color palette of Soft Sea Foam, Very Vanilla, and Crumb Cake. Additionally, The Timber Embossing Folder, Forever Plaid Embossing Folder, the Elements of Text Stamp Set, Textured Notes Dies and Mixed Labels dies were also used. Clear Adhesive-Backed Dots were colored with Blends Markers to add bling to the cards, as well as Baker's twine bows.
The Twisted in Time Stamp Set and Dies took center stage on both cards. This set includes a tree trunk stamp and a tree trunk die, and both card front showcased tre tree trunk die cut. This stamp set includes a stamp for the leaves, and not shown here, is a leaf stamp with more details than we used on our cards. I love cards with multiple layers and textures, and these cards did not disappoint. The Basecard is Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, then a layer of Very Vanilla, then another layer of Soft Sea Foam. One embossed using the Timber Embossing Folder, the other embossed using the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. Both cards included Very Vanilla Image areas matted with Crumb Cake.
Next, the Very Vanilla image areas on both cards include a Crumb Cake die cut of the tree trunk. On the horizontal card (above), before adding the tree trunk, the tree leaves were stamped in Soft Sea Foam Ink. On the edge of the left side of the image layer, Elements of Text Stamp Set was used to stamp a text image in Crumb Cake Ink. I also embossed the image layer with the Timber Embossing Folder before adding the tree trunk die cut.
The vertical card (below) includes a Soft Sea Foam layer embossed with the Forever Plaid embossing Folder. On the Very Vanilla image layer, a strip of Crumb Cake Neutrals 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper was adhered at the base. The tree leaves were stamped in Soft Sea Foam Ink -- and I added a bit of Old Olive with a water maker-- before the Tree Trunk was adhered.
The sentiments from the stamp set or those you choose to use, can be stamped in Crumb Cake Ink onto die cut shapes. The horizonal card used a sentiment label die cut from Textured Notes Dies. The vertical card uses a sentiment label die cut using Mixed Labels dies. A few finishing touches include Baker's Twine Bows, and few Adhesive-Backed Dots from the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots colored with the Dark Soft Sea Foam Blends, and Rhinestone Basic Jewels for bling.
The sentiments from the stamp set or those you choose to use, can be stamped in Crumb Cake Ink onto die cut shapes. The horizonal card used a sentiment label die cut from Textured Notes Dies. The vertical card uses a sentiment label die cut using Mixed Labels dies.
