Woven Heirloom Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!
I've just begun to play with the new Press Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!, and I'm quickly falling in love with the beautiful papers in this paper pack. Today, I've paired it with the Woven Heirloom Stamp Set and the Pressed Petal Specialty Washi Tape. This paper pack is lighter weight than our normal Designer Paper, and there are 24 sheets in each package rather than our usual 12 sheet in most of our 12" X 12" paper packs. This makes it perfect if you want to create swaps or use for a card class, or to create card packs as gifts to have on hand for birthdays, hostess gifts, or to start preparing card gift packs early in preparation for the Holidays.
I also have some tips for creating the 3-dimensional flower from the Press Petals Specialty Washi Tape. I started my flower by punching a 3/4" Whisper White circle to use as my flower base. Then I added four peals from the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape. I added another four petals to fill out the flower and then added a Perennial Essence Floral Center. Because the flower petals are sticky, after I finished the flower, I turned it over and used my Embossing Buddy to powder the back of the leaves so they only the petals would stick flat.
The basecard is Rich Razzleberry. Then a layer of Crumb Cake. Then a layer of on of the prints from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the Woven Heirloom Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry ink on a punched Whisper White circle.
Once the sentiment was in place, I added the flower created with the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape. The ribbon is from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.
I can't wait to make more projects with the Press Petals Specialty Designer Series Papers. It is beautiful, and includes prints that work for feminine cards and masculine cards. This paper pack really surprised me. The photos in the catalog and in the on-line store don't do it justice. It is a real sleeper. I totally ignored this paper in the new catalog, but decided to give order one package, just to see what it looked like. As soon as it arrived, I put in another order for more. This could easily become my favorite paper from the new catalog. You'll Love What You Make with this paper.
