Cool Treats & Birthday Bash class

The March 26 class registration is now open. This is going to be a fun class with eight different cards using Cool Treats & the Birthday Bash stamp sets and matching dies. We'll also decorate our Sale-a-Bration tins as our 9th project. Here's a quick peek at the projects we'll make.

We'll make Birthday cards, Thank you cards, and general cards that can be used to celebrate someone special, or just let someone you love know you are thinking of them.

Here's what our decorated card tins will look like after adding die cuts to the exterior. We'll use the Brushwork Alphabet stamp to stamp the word Cards and multiple die cuts and enamels to decorate our tins.

We'll also stamp the dividers included with our tins using the the Tin of Cards sets, and decorate our dividers with coordinating washi tape.

Please bring your Sale-A-Bration tins if you want to decorate and stamp your dividers. Stampin' Up! Cool Treats

Today I had the chance to play with Cool Treats stamp set. I'm sure more "cold" isn't what a lot of people in the country want to see, but in Houston it is sunny, pleasant weather and makes me think of ice cream.

This card uses just the Cool Treat stamp set -- none of the wonderful matching dies. I love the two step stamping technique. You can choose almost any two complimentay colors -- one lighter; one darker, and you'll like make lovely soft cones.

I used Peekaboo Peach with Calpso Coral, Sweet Sugarplum with Rich Razzleberry, and Soft Sky with Pool Party.

The basecard is Peekabook Peach with a Basic Black accent under the Whisper White. The cones are stamped in Sahara Sand with Soft Suede. This card took a lot of concentration with 8 different stamp pad colors open at the same time, but I love the cheery look of this finished card.

Although the stamp set has a number of wonderful sentiments, I choose a sentiment from the Suite Sentiment Stamp set.

March 26 - In this class we'll decorate our free Sale-A-Bration Gold and White tins, stamp the inserts, and make 6 cards using the Birthday Blast and Cool Treats stamp sets. Stampin' Up! has run out of inventory on these tins, which were a free selection with a $50 order. However, I will have some of these tins for sale, if you need one, when you register for the class.
