Watercolor stamp sets
Today's projects highlight a couple of the wonderful watercolor scenes stamp sets from the Occasions catalog. The first set, called Waterfront, creates a waterfront scene. The second set is a Hostess set called Cozy Cottage, and the stamp set is a rustic scene. Both of these sets are great for using your watercolor pencils, inks and Aqua Painters, or alcohol-based Blends to paint your scenes. The Occasion catalog provides additional card ideas for both these sets. You also find the sentiments in each set to be quit versatile.
The basecard for this first card is Bermuda Bay, then a layer of So Saffron and then a Whisper White layer with background layers washed with inks and Aqua Painters. The trees mountains, water and splatters are all stamps included in this set.
I choose the Friends Make the Good Times Better sentiment, and accented the sentiment with a small piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon. I used additional stamps and sentiment on the inside of the card.
The next stamp set to use with your water color tools is the Cozy Cottage Host stamp set. That means you need to Host a party with $150 in sales or purchase $150 (not including tax and shipping) in merchandise in order to purchase this set.
I used the Softly falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the Whisper White background.
The image is created on a Stitched circle Framelit and framed with a Basic Black scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits. The stamped image is colored with Blends. The basecard is Basic Black. The ribbon is 3/8" Pear Pizazz Shimmer Ribbon.
The small chairs are stamped on the inside along with a sentiment from the Seasonal Layers set in Early Espresso Ink. However, the Cozy Cottage set includes several sentiments that could be used also.
If you like to color your images and create backgrounds, you'll enjoy either of these new stamp set.
