Flying Home Card
Here's a card we're going to make in our card class on March 25. Is this a fun spring card? Wouldn't you love to see the look on the face of someone you love when they receive this card from you? This was such a fun card to make. Our shades of Pool Party and Soft Sky are so fresh-looking. This is a perfect Spring card! I selected a sentiment from the Tabs for Everything stamp set. This fun stamp set has so many cute, small sentiments. I choose "hello". But the set includes "smile," "enjoy," "happy," "wishes," "party" and "love" in small script like the "hello" on this card. And that's just the start! This set includes 26 additional sentiments in different fonts, plus many other cute elements!
For today's card, I used a basecard of Pool Party, then a layer of Soft Sky. The Soft Sky layer is dry embossed with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.
The banners use the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper, a free Sale-A-Bration selection with a $50 order. There is a also a white glimmer paper banner from the Myths and Magic 6" X 6" Glimmer Paper Pack. There is also a strip of Myth & Magic Specialty Washi Tape.
I die cut a stitched Circle using the Stitched Shapes Framelits die. Then I stamped the flowers and bird house in Tuxedo Black Memento, an used several Blends markers listed in the Recipe section to color the image.
After I assembled the layers, I added a three different sizes of Glitter Enamel Dots to accent the card. I'm so pleased with how this card turned out. The colors and textures make me happy to hold it in my hands.
