Graceful Garden in Berry Burst Fresh Florals
My first use of the Graceful Garden stamp set today, was pure experimentation. The image is quite large so I only captured a portion of it on my image block. I wasn't sure if I would like it colored or not, so I tried it both ways.
This is a close up of the plain version. The rose was stamped in Berry Burst and layered onto a card using Barry Burst cardstock and Fresh Florals Designer Series Papers. I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy directly onto the image block.
The rose image below is lightly colored with the Melon Mambo watercolor pencil, and Old Olive watercolor pencil for the stem and leaves. Looking at the photos, I really like the image colored However, in real like, I like the plain image better.
Here are both images together. One water colored and the other plain. Seeing them together. I think I'm more drawn to the water colored version. Whats your preference?
This stamp set is part of the Petal Garden Suite and includes coordinating 6 X 6 Designer Series Papers, Memory Cards, the Garden Trellis textured impressions embossing folder, and ribbons. The memory cards, for scrapbooking includes not only cards (2 of each designs), several overlays that could also be used as stencils, stickers and sentiments.
