Happy Hanukkah Card
I'll do a short post today, with more photos, as we're all overly busy preparing for the holidays next week. Today's card is a Happy Hanukkah card using the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper, Copper Foil Sheets, and Copper Embossing Powder.
I used the same basic layout, background, and sentiment for each card, and simply changed the main image. The basecard is Night of Navy. The next layer is Copper Foil Sheet. Then I added a layer of one of the foil prints from Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. The next layer is a die cut rectangle out of Copper Foil Sheet using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. The image layer is Night of Navy.
Using a retired stamp set called Jewish Celebrations, that I've held onto for years (can anyone say pack-rat), I stamped the different main images and the sentiment onto the Night of Navy layer using Versamark ink. Then I covered the images with Copper Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. I put both the main image and the sentiment on the same clear block so that when I stamped the images, I only had to stamp once.
I was tempted to add more embellishments, but felt that the simple bows in 1/4" Copper Trim were all the cards needed.
Before I put my supplies away, I decided to do one more version of the card. I eliminated the Night of Navy image layer, and heat embossed the image directly onto the Copper Foil Sheet. It produced a beautiful, muted image. I' not sure which is my favorite.
The Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper is going to carry over from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. It is currently out of stock. You can order it again when the 2020 Holiday Catalog is released. If you don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the new, January - June 2020 Mini catalog, contact me for copies of the new catalog. I would love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
