Another recent card from one of the Demonstrator-only card swap I was in, is what I'm highlighting in my post today.  The stamp set used on this card is the Elegantly Said Stamp Set with the coordinating Elegant Tag Punch. This card uses Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Cardstock--two new In Colors introduced with the recent Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog. I love the new Elegant Tag Punch.  It is so unusual, and there are techniques for making longer tags in order to get more use out of it. Of course I had to try this card for myself, and changed up the card using one of the birthday sentiments from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set, while leaving the rest of the card as received. The cards were stamped with White Craft Ink, and a 3/8" Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon was added to the bottom of the tag.  This card was created by demonstrator, Denise Will.

      

The basecard for this card is Soft Succulent Cardstock.  Then a layer of Evening Evergreen Cardstock. The corners of the Evening Evergreen were stamped with one of the images from Elegantly Said Stamp Set using Whisper White Craft Ink.  I haven't used Craft ink in a while, and forgot how easily it smudged while waiting for it to dry.  However, I loved the results!  Now, I can't wait to use White Craft ink on Evening Evergreen for detailed snowflakes for Christmas Cards.         

 

I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink onto a piece of Basic White, and then punched it using the Elegant Tag Punch.   You can easily create a tag longer than the one on this card simply by feeding the ends of your paper into the punch separately, like the photo below.  

 

I added a 3/8" Soft Succulent bow to the bottom of the tag and one of the Soft Succulent Genial Gems to the top of the tag.

Butterfly Greeting Card with Quiet Meadow floral Stamp Set

Today I'm using the Quiet Meadow Stamp set along with the Brilliant Butterfly Dies to create a set of cards I can use for Thank You cards, Birthdays, or Hope You're Feeling Better wishes.  Some I plan to send right away.  Others I'll keep on hand for use later.  My color scheme is Petal Pink and Granny Apply Green with Basic White.  These went together super fast and I love the Vellum butterfly on top of the die cut butterfly.   

      

The basecard for this card is Petal Pink Cardstock.  Then a layer of of Granny Apple Green used as a matt for the Basic White Image.  The large butterfly is die cut from Petal Pink using the Brilliant Wings Dies.  Then I layered a smaller butterfly die cut out of Vellum Cardstock and dry embossed with dots from using the Checks & Dots Embossing Folder.  I think if I were to remake the card, I would cut a vellum butterfly the same size as the larger Petal Pink detailed butterfly and layer it beneath the detailed Petal Pink Butterfly.       

 

I stamped the large flower image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set onto Basic White Cardstock, and colored the stems with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends, and the flower with Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.  The sentiment and image around the sentiment are from a recently retired stamp set called Punch Party Host Stamp Set.   I'm continuing to use it as it works with the Double Oval Punch and two additional punches that carried over to the current annual Stampin' Up! catalog and includes several useful sentiments. However, you'll find several current sentiments that work with this punch as well. Additionally, I added Petal Pink pearls from the Pastel Pearls for a little more interest.
