To A Wild Rose Stamp Set

Today I created cards showing the new To A Wild Rose Stamp Set.  This is a three-step stamp, but I've only used one of the three layers and hand-colored the image.  I've used the three-steps of the stamp in an earlier post, so you can see the versatility of this set.  This set includes a coordinating set of dies, called Wild Rose, which includes labels, two leaves, and open flower, and the large flower and flower center for this set.  Scroll to the list of items used to make this card, and click on one of the photos for a close up on the stamp set and dies.

The cardstock colors on this card didn't photograph well.  I used Basic Gray as the basecard and for the leaves and flower outlines.  However, in the photo it looks black, rather than dark gray.  It's a beautiful combination in real life.

As I mentioned, the basecard for this card is Basic Gray, then a layer of Petal Pink.  Then a laser-cut overlay from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, which is about to retire on June 3, so be sure to include it in your final order from the current catalogs.  I didn't discover this paper until just recently, so I stocked up to make sure I had plenty on hand before the current catalogs retire.  I also checked Stampin' Up! inventory, and I'm happy to report that as of this evening, it is still in stock.  If you miss placing a final order from the current catalogs, you can recreate this look using the Laser-Cut Cards from the Bird Ballad Tin in the new catalog when ordering begins June 4.

The rose image and the sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray on Whisper White.  The rose was die cut using the Wild Rose Dies.  The sentiment was die cut using one of the small Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  I colored the flower image with Calypso Coral Watercolor pencils and then use the Light Petal Pink Blends Marker to even out the tones.

For each card, I stamped three sets of the leaves in Basic Gray on Vellum cardstock and die cut them using the Wild Rose Dies.  The leaves are attached to the back of the rose using Mini Glue Dots.  The Rose is popped up on Dimensionals.

The To A Wild Rose bundle -- stamps and dies-- is offered at a 10% savings over purchasing each separately.  Ordering from the new catalog begins on June 4.  Be sure to pick up any items on your Wish List retiring when the current catalogs -- both the annual catalog and the Occasions catalog -- expires on Jun 3.

Paper Pumpkin Fun

I hope you're enjoying your May Paper Pumpkin Kit, Hugs from Shelli, as much as I am.  This kit includes 12 note cards in four different designs, and the papers and matching printed envelopes are so lovely.

As I was printing the stamp case insert for this month's Paper Pumpkin Kit, I thought what a cute gift set these cards would make in one of our acetate card boxes...but what to use as a cover.  Then I got the bright Idea of using a smaller version of this month's stamp case cover for the cover on the acetate card bos.  So I printed it out at 85%, cut it down to size, and found that it worked perfectly in the acetate card box.  What a great idea for a quick gift for a neighbor, or as a hostess gift.

Print the stamp case insert at 85% and insert it into the Acetate Card Case (144628)
for a quick gift holder for your Paper Pumpkin notecards

Full size stamp case cover is pictured on the right.  Printed at 85% and inserted into an acetate card box (144628) on the left.  Don't miss the next Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Order by June 10.
