More Share What You Love
Today I decided to work with one of the New In Colors, Lovely Lipstick. When I first saw this new color, I dismissed it as too close to Real Red. However, when I started using it, I found it to be brighter and warmer than Real Red. I think I'll be using this much more than I first anticipated. The best news is that the 5 new In Colors stamp pads can be purchased early; before the June 1 catalog is released. The Lovely Lipstick In Color was used for the flowers on today's cards.
I used an Old Olive base card. Then a layer of the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. Then I used a Whisper White layer for my image block. I stamped four sets of the flowers from the Love What You Do stamp set in Lovely Lipstick, and fussy cut them. Before I fussy cut them, I used the Lovely Lipstick stamp pad and a Aqua painter to lightly color the flower heads.
Then I stamped some of the stems in Old Olive onto the Whisper White background after placing, but not adhering the flowers. then I popped some of the flowers on dimensionals and others were glued flat to the Whisper White Layer to give the card a lot of texture., I also fussy cut a few of the stems and leaves ad added them between the flowers.
I added another Whisper White Strip for the Sentiment, and popped it up on dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Share What You Love stamp set and is stamped in Old Olive.
I used a Cherry Cobbler Blends Marker to color the two clear Faceted Gems which were added to the Sentiment block.
