I know its early for snowy greeting cards, but with the heat here in Houston at 102 degrees today' I really wanted an image that felt cooler than what we're facing outdoors. Plus, I'm in love with the designer series papers from the Stampin' Up! Horse & Sleigh Collection, one of the items from the Online Exclusive Collection. You won't find this in any of the Stampin' Up! catalogs. It's only available on the Stampinup.com website. The One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper Pack includes both scenic and patterned prints, making it ideal for layering, die cutting or creating beautiful forest scenes. My color theme today is Pebbled Path and Pool Party, which matched the colors in the print from the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper used on my card. I used the Grove Dies to die cut the two deer out of Pebble Path Cardstock, and I again used Pebble Path for the sentiment shapes. One sentiment is die cut using Nested Essential dies and the other is die cut using Stylish Shapes Dies. The largest Pool Party layer is dry embossed using the retired Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, but only because I couldn't find my current Timber 3D Embossing Folder. To finish my card I added three pearls from the Red and Green Adhesive Backed Pearls. These tiny pears add a light airy touch to the scene.
The basecard for this card is Pebbled Pearls. Then a layer of Pool Party dry embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, although I used my retired Pinewood Planks because I couldn't find my Timber Embossing Folder...sigh. Then my image area is a print from the One Horse Open Sligh 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper. It is matted in Pool Party and then in Pebble Path.
