Wow! There's a lot going on at Stampin' Up! this month. Check out the September Weekly Specials and the Perfect Partners Bundles promotions below. Both started today.
The more I play with the Sweet Sunflowers August 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit, the more ideas I find! Today I'm showing another Alternative Paper Pumpkin Kit card idea. I made the card with contents from this kit, including using a section of one of the pre-printed floral envelope. I also used some of the bee images and cut a piece of gold foil honeycombs from the free gift we received in this kit. We received 10 Gold Foil honeycombs. How nice is that! In addition to using envelope images on my card, I also extended my kit by cutting the preprinted basecards from the kit in half, which gave me two images to use from each of the 9 basecards. I used one of the Mossy Meadow watercolor background basecards and cut it to fit a Poppy Parade cardstock basecard for today's card. Poppy Parade is one of the coordinating colors form the Stampin' Up! product line which coordinate with images in the kit. I also used the Charming Sentiments Bundle to create a Thank You sentiment for my card as I wanted a different shape for my sentiment than the "thank you" stamp included in the kit. Again, the coordination across the product line helps extend your cardmaking and usefulness of each Paper Pumpkin Kit, yet the kits are also a great stand-alone way for a crafter to get started making cards without needing a lot of supplies. Everything is included in the kit except for scissors. This kit continues to give me such joy. I look forward with pride at sending these card to family and friends.
I used Poppy Parade cardstock for the base of my card. Then a Mossy Medow watercolor layer, which is the front of one of the basecards in the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Kit. The floral image is a section of one of the preprinted envelopes in the kit, and I matted it with a piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock.
The used the sunflower and leaves from the stamp set included in the the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Kit to stamp the sunflower. I used the twisting technique (stamp one, twist the stamp slightly and stamp again) when stamping the sunflower. I used my Water Painter to add Crushed Curry ink to the Daisy and Mossy Meadow ink to the leaves. I cut a section of the Gold Foil honeycombs to use as an accent on the left side of my card. My sentiment is created using the Charming Sentiments Bundle from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. I matted the sentiment in Poppy Parade to better coordinate with the card. The bee is also from the Kit.
