Sometimes you just need a fast, simple card, when life around you is moving at breakneck speed. This is another swap card I received from the Annual Catalog swap I did with other Demonstrators. This card was created by Sandy Haynes. It features the Penned Flowers Dies and the Scalloped Contour Dies. The Penned Flowers is part of the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle on page 105 of the Annual catalog. It is unique in that it not only includes a die cut of one of the images from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp set, but it includes a drop shadow created using the same die and Soft Succulent cardstock. I love monochromatic cards using one ink color, and a coordinating cardstock color.
Then, an image from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set was stamped in Soft Succulent ink and die cut using the Penned Flowers Dies. A drop shadow was created for the image by die cutting the stamped shape again out of Soft Succulent cardstock, which is offset slightly under the stamped floral image. The sentiment is also from the Hand-penned Petals Stamp Set and stamped in Soft Succulent ink, and three Rhinestone Basic Jewels adorn the centers of three of the flowers.
This is a well-designed card that anyone from a beginner to an avid stamper would be proud to send to someone they loved. You can order current Annual Catalog items from my Stampin' Up! shopping site 24 X 7.
