News from Stampin' Up! OnStage event
Sometimes its so easy to get wrapped up in the fun of playing with current Stampin' Up! products, its difficult to look ahead. However, this week I'm taking a break from creating Thanksgiving and Christmas projects to attend the Stampin' Up! OnStage event in Salt Lake City. We'll see the new catalogs coming out in January, play with new products, and enjoy the company of the many friends we've made over the years being part of the Stampin' Up! family.
I joined several thousand other Stampin' Up! demonstrators to take over the hotels surrounding the Salt Lake City Convention Center. Last evening the hotel dining room was filled with tables of twittering and laughing ladies hugging old friends and making new friends.
One of the highlights of OnStage in Salt Lake City is the opportunity to visit the Stampin' Up Offices and Shipping center. I joined a bus filled with Stampin' Up! demonstrators for the 30 minute ride out to the Riverton facility. We were greeted by friendly Stampin' Up! employees who talked to us about their roles and proudly showed us through this beautiful headquarters which house the creative offices, demonstrator support, and the fascinating packing and shipping facilities. Keith and I were chatting as we overlooked the shipping floor and I learned that in order to preserve the view of the mountains for neighbors in the area, the shipping warehouse is partially buried underground.
Here's a quick view of the incredible lobby.
A cascading rock formation with fountains and springs filled the three-story entrance.
There were rooms filled with seasonal displays.
I can't wait to get home and try the Carols of Christmas image in the photo frame
And, of course the historic rooms are magical.
Above you are looking through the window of the historical room.
Below is a better photo of the blackboard wall.
Inspiration was everywhere, and I snapped a few photos of fun projects.

This morning is a free morning with the official start of activities at 1:00 pm. We'll be live in Salt Lake City and we'll be connected by live video to Stampin' Up! evens in Germany, France, UK, The Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. If you're a demonstrator not attending OnStage in person, you be able to see recorded video from the event at OnStageOnline shortly after the live event.
One benefit of attending the live event is that we're able to order a selection of the new products from the January catalog. That means we'll have time to create plenty of samples and prepare classes well before the January catalog is released.
Well, I'm off for a quick breakfast and a little sightseeing before our sessions begin. My swaps are completed and I'm looking forward to a busy next few days.
