I love playing with new products when they are first released. It's exciting to see what you can create. Today I'm playing with with the Stampin' Up! Perfectly Penciled 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper from the new Annual Catalog and one of the new In Colors, Sweet Sorbet. This paper is simple black-and-white prints and elegant florals. You can choose to leave these hand-drawn florals as-is, or add color using colored pencils, blender pens and ink, Stampin' Write Markers or alcohol-based Blends Markers. I choose to color the flowers using Sweet Sorbet Blands and Granny Apple Green Markers. I added a dry embossed layer of Basic White using the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. And my base card is also Sweet Sorbet. The sentiment is from the Boughs & Blossoms Stamp Set from the 2022 January-June Mini Catalog. And I added a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish my card.
To create today's card, I used a base card of Sweet Sorbet Cardstock, one of the new 2022-2024 In Colors introduced 3 May. This color is softer than Real Red, but photographs similar to Real Red. Then I added a layer of Basic White dry embossed with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.
I then fussy cut one of the large hand-drawn floral images from the Stampin' Up! Perfectly Penciled 12" X 12" Designer Series Papers, I colored it with Light Sweet Sorbet and Light Granny Apple Green Blends Markers. The butterfly is another image from the same print. I colored it with Dark Daffodil Delight Blends Marker and popped it up on Mini Dimensionals before adding it to my card front.
You'll love the black and white prints in the Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper, but it you still want some color, the outline designs are perfect for trying your hand at coloring. i
To complete the card, I selected a sentiment from the Stampin' Up! Boughs & Blossoms Stamp Set, and stamped it din Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a small scrap of Basic White Cardstock. To add a little bling, I added several Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.
