Mossy Meadow Plaid Christmas Card using So Many Snowflakes Dies

  • So Many Snowflakes Dies for Christmas Cards
  • Banner Year Stamp Set
  • Use Your Bonus Days Coupons by 31 August 2020
I fought against making this card all day.  It is sooo hot outside that I just couldn't get into the mood to start making Christmas cards.  I finally opened the So Many Snowflakes Dies package and took out the largest snowflake and ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.  To my surprise it produced a reverse image.  So I fell back on my old scrap booking days where we did a lot of fussy cutting and I cut around the snowflake image to create the snowflake I wanted for this card.  It turned out great!  That gave me the boost I needed to put together the rest of this card. In addition to the So Many Snowflakes Dies, It also uses the Best Plaid Builder Dies to create the plaid background.  Then I added a Mossy Meadow Striped Ribbon, a sentiment, and a few Blue Gems and it was done!

Christmas Card with Snowflake and Striped Bow

The basecard for this card is Mossy Meadow Cardstock.  Then a layer of Whisper White.  Then I decided to use a Crumb Cake layer under the plaid I created using the Best Plaid Builder Dies.  The largest layer is Mossy Meadow and then Basic Black was used for the grid lines.

I glued the snowflake flat against the plaid background and then added the striped, Mossy Meadow bow to the center of the snowflake.

I chose a sentiment from the Stampin' Up! Banner Year Stamp set, and stamped it in Mossy Meadow ink onto a Whisper White strip.  On one I added a tag end, the other I left plain.  I think I like the tag end better.  Then, to add a little glitz, I selected three gems from the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems package and added them to the card front.

Elements used to create Mossy Meadow Plaid Christmas Card

I really enjoy using elements, like the large snowflake in alternative ways from the way it was meant to be used.  It means the set is more versatile than it first appears.  You'll enjoy creating winter and Christmas Cards using these elements, and your family and friends will enjoy receiving special handmade cards from your over the holidays.  Starting early will ensure you have plenty of time to finish your cards before the Holiday season begins.   Add these items to your Shopping List today.
