September Paper Pumpkin Alternative Project

I fell in love with the little Fall leaves from the September Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin Kit Stamp Set.  So I found an alternative card idea on line that used these leaves and I created this Thanksgiving Card.  Its a pretty simple card to make.  Its just layering beautiful Fall shades of cardstock with coordinating prints from the coordinating 6" X 6" Designer Series Papers.  I stamped the leaves in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze ink and the venation pattern (the veins) with Crumb Cake ink.  The sentiments are from the Banner Year Stamp Set and they are stamped in Cajun Craze ink.  

The basecard  for this card is Sahara Sand, cut 8-1/4" X 4-1/4".  Then a layer of Crushed Curry.  And a layer of Crushed Curry print from the Regals 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper(DSP).  The same Crushed Curry Cardstock and Crushed Curry pint cover the inside of the card.  The Cajun Craze Cardstock flap is cut 8" X 3" and scored at 4".  This layer is glued to the inside of the card and flips over the card front.

The front flap of the Cajun Craze Cardstock includes a Sahara Sand Layer, a vellum cardstock layer die cut using a scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Then a Sahara Sand print from the Neutrals 6" X 6" Designer Series paper.  And for the sentiment layer, I die cut a Very Vanilla layer die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Dies.  

I stamped leaves on Very Vanilla Cardstock using the stamps from the September 2021 Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin Kit in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze and stamped the veins in Crumb Cake ink.  I hand cut the leaves and added them to the front and inside of the card  On the die cut Very Vanilla sentiment layers I selected sentiments for my card from the Banner Year Stamp Set, although the October Haunts & Harvest Paper Pumpkin also includes several sentiments that would have worked, also.  I completed the card by adding a bow of Gray Granit twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials pack, which has 5 different colors of neutral twine to choose form.  Thanks to Maureen Rauchhfuss from the Crazy Stamping Lady for the inspiration for this card.

Halloween Card idea using Banner Year Stamp Set and Inspiring Canopy Dies

If you're looking for a quick, easy, fun Halloween card idea, today's card is right up your alley.  I used the Inspiring Canopy Dies to create trees on a background created with the Bark 3D Embossing folder.  I used images from the Banner Year Stamp Set to create a sentiment, and added Rhinestones and Pastel Pearls and a spider web stamp for a little fun.  I used one of the double oval punch shapes for my sentiment.  To add a little more Halloween theme, I fussy cut the image of a tombstone and a Halloween bird from one of the prints from Cute Halloween Designer Series Paper.  Now I can't wait to send these cards during for Halloween.

The basecard for this card is Basic Black Cardstock.  Then a layer of Highland Heather dry embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. Then I die cut the trees using the Inspiring Canopy Dies and Basic Black Cardstock.  Tip.   I added Adhesive Sheets to the back of the Basic Black Cardstock before die cutting the tress.  This make adhering the tree branches to the background layer a piece of cake!  I love that the four trees are all a single die.  This made creating this card extra fast.

Then I found images on the Cute Halloween 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper of a small tomb stone and a purple bird that accessorized the card beautifully.  I fussy cut them from one of the 6" X 6" prints.   

I completed the card by stamping a scalloped oval, punched using the Double Oval Punch, from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock.  I used a sentiment from the Banner Year Stamp Set and stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  On the corner of the sentiment, I stamped a spiderweb from the Banner Year Stamp Set. I also scattered 4 Basic Rhinestone Jewels throughout the trees, and added a Pastel Pearls to the edge of the sentiment layer.   sentiment was stamped on a die cut from the Bloom Dies.  

I  know I'll be using this card as one of my bulk Halloween cards this year as it is a snap to create.
